A learning journey in inclusive & imaginative theatre

A theatre is more than a stage.
It’s the smell of coffee in the foyer.
The warmth of a welcome at the door.
The quiet sweep of the floor before the lights come up.
It’s scripts, soundboards, spreadsheets, spotlights.
It’s every one of us -
the people who make stories possible.

This workshop is for all of us.
Whether we work in the café, in costume, on stage, or in the office -
whether we welcome guests, clean the spaces, hang the lights, or write the newsletters -
we are part of how people experience theatre.
And we are part of how we can make that experience more inclusive, more imaginative, and more human.

Over four days in Mallorca, with colleagues from across Europe,
we will explore what it really means to open our doors to everyone.
We will step into other people’s shoes.
We will reflect, learn, share, and dream.
We will talk about access - but also about dignity, welcome, and joy.
We will look at our theatres with new eyes - and begin to reshape them together.

There will be performances, workshops, conversations, and quiet moments.
Time to explore, time to laugh, and time to listen.
We don’t need to be experts.
We just need to care about the people who walk through our doors -
and be curious about how we can do better, together.

We believe that theatre can be for everyone.
This journey will help us make that true - in every hallway, every seat, every cue.

So let’s come as we are.
We are welcome.
